Roy has supported the Division through a long and difficult disciplinary procedure, he has given massiv support to our efforts to host an exceptional National Reunion, he has attended Division Reunionis and other events and shown a true interest in our operation. "IYKYK. If you don't then you really should find out. But for all of you, I am writing in reference to Mr. Roy Hudson, so you will know. He is a Compatriot who is running for the position of Lieutenant Commander In Chief, Sons of Confederate Veterans National Headquarters. I wholeheartedly endorse Roy Hudson for numerous reasons. Some of which I will cover here. He is a devoutly religious man. I will draw a comparison to One of our greatest Southern Hero's- General Robert E. Lee. Anyone who has studied General Lee knows that before every incident that he always Prayed for Wisdom and Divine Intervention. I know for a fact that Roy Hudson has done the same, especially prior to his taking on running for this position. Roy Hudson also has a lot of strong Southern Ancestry, which he is very proud of, he displays this in his actions and deeds. He has always been willing to travel about not only Florida but around the South to speak before and assist other S.C.V. Camps. He is also the Army of Tennessee Councilman, The Lieutenant Commander Southeast Florida Division S.C.V. He is also Aide de Camp Captain J.J. Dickison S.C.V. Camp # 1387. He is also Major, Company D, 3rd Battalion of the Mechanized Cavalry.
I have spent a total of 35 years and retired from State Law Enforcement, I know that Roy Hudson spent 40+ years. During numerous conversations with him, I found that he always followed a very important motto that I always stressed to my subordinates and that is: " I am going to say what I do and do what I say. It will never deviate and it will always be truthful. As my word is my Bond, that is something you can always bank on!" If elected I know that Roy Hudson will carry this same motto with him to this position.
